the cool thing about this picture was that i was just taking shots skiing backwards. and it coincidently took the shot of when my friend took a nose dive. i enjoyed editing this one a bit, took out all the color except for my friend. you can take notice of the snow that’s still flying into his face as he plunges into the hill.

for those who cheated and looked at the image title. yes. it’s the stains remaining from a frappacino’s whip cream on the lid. i loved the composition of this object before i took it. simply because it left an interesting design on the lid. i captured this moment to show that even in disgusting and gross objects, there can still be some beauty or mystery behind it.

this picture was actually taken at Harper College where there’s a fountain by the lake on the North side of campus.. this image might be a bit dark. but i loved the way it turned out. i actually did some contrast and brightness adjustments, turned the background black and white and left the focus in color. it almost seems like the water itself was on fire. almost in some utter dispair, there will always be a flame of passion or justice.

this turned out pretty well actually. the only adjustments i made were to keep the eraser and pencils in color while everything was in black and white. here i took a picture of what i love to do.

here’s one i took while i was riding on the ski lift. i loved the angle and the way the tree branch just curved up. i took out the color and turned up the contrast.

the next series of pictures were taken through the “eyes through the goggles” look. since my lens’ are pink, this is how they turned out from my view. i loved the sunsetting view at the top of the hills and how the sun shone through as its lights pierced through my vision. i did some editing on this to bring out some of the detail on the snow mound and blurred out the background a bit to create some focus for the eye.

this one is my favorite one. the sun was setting just perfectly and through the goggles, it seemed as though it made the whole sky purple-ish pink.
